From HR Leadership to VelaÂ
Vela was founded by Rosamund King, a former Chief People Officer and Board Director with more than 20 years of experience shaping people strategy, leadership and talent across financial services, real estate, private equity and professional services. Having worked at executive and board level, Rosamund understands from the inside what helps organisations perform at their best - and what can hold them back.

Vela was created to bring that experience to organisations that need more than standard HR or transactional recruitment support. Rosamund King MCIPD established Vela Advisory following a successful career as a Chief People Officer and Board Director. With more than two decades of experience leading people strategy, executive recruitment, and organisational transformation across financial services, professional services, real estate, and facilities management, she brings both strategic perspective and practical leadership experience to every client partnership.

Having built and scaled teams for high‑growth and international businesses, Rosamund understands how effective leadership and well-designed organisational structures drive sustainable success. She applies this insight through Vela’s tailored services in executive search, professional recruitment, and HR advisory, ensuring every appointment and people solution strengthens culture, performance, and growth.
